Additionally, Wendy left behind a crisis communication tip sheet, and we thought it was worth sharing.

My First Cake

I have a confession and it won’t surprise anyone who knows me personally: I am not the baking kind. I can cook enough to keep myself fed, but I really don’t think baking is in my genes. However, sometimes duty calls and a client needs a cake baked. Who knew the PR world could bring [...]

Burgerville donates $54,000 to Brian Grant Foundation

burgerville-bgf-check-center-court-2Just one month after the debut of BV Radio last Fall,Burgerville expanded its reach into the local music scene with the launch of Burgerville Records. Burgerville Records’ first album, “Shakers Sessions” was a compilation CD benefiting the Brian Grant Foundation. The album was created by local singer and songwriter Rob Barteletti, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2002. Wanting to make a benefit album for Parkinson’s patients, Barteletti recruited 12 Northwest vocalists to record the songs he wrote for the CD including Storm Large, Pete Droge, and Mike Coykendall.

“Shakers’ Sessions” was sold exclusively through Burgerville’s 38 restaurants for $10 with 100 percent of profits being donated to the Brian Grant Foundation. After weeks of sales, Burgerville sold over 9,000 CDs and raised $54,000!

The LANE PR team assisted with the public relations/media relations aspect of the campaign, and was thrilled to learn that Burgerville had raised tens of thousands of dollars for such a worthy cause. Not only was the marketing campaign successful at raising money, but it gave Burgerville a chance to give back to its local community and partner with a non-profit that truly resonated with its guests. Burgerville believes campaigns should all embody community and sustainability, and BV Radio provides Burgerville an outlet to exercise its core values and attract new guests.
